The year is 1998 and I have just bought my BOB. Mostly for this Thanksgiving trip from Chicago to New Mexico...on the train.
This is one of my favorite "Secret Chicago" locations.
In addition to a weeks worth of clothes and who know what else there is also a small collapsible cooler (a couple of meals for the train trip) and a pack packing kitchen for making hot cocoa in NM.
I really was not so sure I'd get much use out of the BOB. Was I wrong! Everyone should have one in their household. .

Yeah, so few Chicagoians know about Lake Michigan.
Oh man, I totally agree with you! I bought my BOB about six months ago and it CHANGED MY LIFE! I have been commuting without a car for three years and whoa! I feel as if I take my house with me now that I have this thing!
